❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED

❓ How does the wager system work?β–Ύ
Both players lock an equal stake into an on-chain escrow. The winner of the best-of-3 match receives 90% of the pot. The remaining 10% splits into $RPS buyback & burn (6%) and platform operations (4%).
❓ How are rounds decided? Who determines the winner?β–Ύ
Rounds are played off-chain and adjudicated by the RPS Arena server. You and your opponent submit picks to the server; neither pick is revealed to the other until both are locked. The server records the rounds, determines the winner, and cryptographically signs the final result. The escrow contract only releases funds for a server-signed result. This means you are trusting the RPS Arena operator to run rounds honestly β€” it is NOT trustless or fully on-chain. Higher-value matches additionally go through moderator review before payout.
❓ How do private rooms work?β–Ύ
Create a private room, set your stake and format, then share the generated invite link. The friend who opens it joins your room, locks the matching stake, and you play head-to-head.
❓ How do payouts work?β–Ύ
Both players deposit an equal stake into the on-chain escrow contract. When the match finishes, the winner requests a payout; the server provides its signed result and the escrow releases 90% of the pot to the winner (6% $RPS buyback, 4% operations). Funds are held in the escrow contract, not an operator wallet, but releasing them requires the operator's signed result and β€” for higher-value matches β€” moderator approval.
❓ Which chains are supported?β–Ύ
RPS Arena is live on Base (currently Base Sepolia testnet). Matches are staked in tUSDC or $RPS. Additional chains and tokens are planned but not yet live.
